Last year we finished our lakeside home. This year, we've decided to give you the opportunity to rent our lake front abode.
Our cottage is located on beautiful Chippewa Lake. Chippewa Lake is the largest lake in Mecosta County, 790 acres. It is an all-sports lake where you can enjoy boating, water skiing, jet skiing, fishing, and swimming. If you are a boat owner, bring your boat. There is a private dock in front of the cottage. The public boat launch is located near Chippewa Lake's public beach. The grassy area in front of the lake includes a picnic table, lounge chairs, and a fire pit where you can enjoy the lake from early morning until late in the evening.
The DNR stocks Chippewa Lake yearly; and there are weekly bass tournaments on the lake. Large mouth bass, walleye, black crappie, pike, perch and blue gills are some of the fish that make Chippewa Lake their home.
If you're looking for a quiet, remote area to get away from it all, this is a good opportunity for you. While the cottage is located in a quiet community, the city of Big Rapids is only 15 minutes away. You will find antique stores, restaurants, and Ferris State University in Big Rapids. Cranhill Ranch, a Christian camp, is located seven minutes from our cottage.
This new craftsman-style cottage has central air, a large, modern kitchen (appliances and cookware are available, but you'll need to bring your own food and drink) and dining area; large main floor bedroom with queen size bed and large main floor bathroom with a walk-in shower. Also, on the main floor is a laundry room. The living area is carpeted and includes a beautiful stacked stone fireplace
(we ask that you refrain from using the fireplace during your stay). The upstairs master bedroom has a queen size bed and features a walk-out balcony that faces the lake. Also upstairs is a full-bath and a loft with an area to relax. The cottage's third bedroom has sky lights that allow you to enjoy the evening star show and includes a full size and twin bed. Bedding and linens are provided. You will need to bring your own beach towels and fishing poles.
No smoking and no pets please.
